College Mom on a budget
I hope everyone has started their christmas shopping.  I had to go to Ala Moana last week to return a few things and it was crowded.  There are a lot of sales now that are just as good as the day after Thanksgiving sales.  I know that there was a huge sale at American Eagle (in-store only).  You get an additional 30% off items that are already on sale.  Also Macy's had a Veteran's day sale, where you get 15% off almost everything you purchase.
But if you are like me, I like to avoid the mall if at all cost.  Especially since it is extremely hard to shop with my son, though he has gotten better.  If you haven't tried doing some of your shopping online.  Don't worry, it's simple.  Here are some websites that I constantly use.

I found 2 really good sites that everyone should log on to before they start their online shopping.

1) Ebates
Ebates is awesome because you get a check every 3 months, just for going through ebates and shopping online.  I have been a member of ebates for years now and I have made a huge savings.

I just found this website when I was trying to look for coupons for children's place.  I have used online coupons from this website and the coupons do work.

College Mom 101

This year we were all blessed that it did not rain on Halloween night.  For the past few years it has always rained, but last night was beautiful!
We went to Mililani, like we always do because they have a lot of things going on there.  We went to the trunk-n-treat at Mililani Mauka, the Mililani Shopping Center, and The Calvary Church at Mililani High School.  All three places were safe and fun!  I hope that everyone had an awesome Halloween!

College Mom 101
Wow, it has been another crazy few weeks for me.  Two sundays ago I just went to church with my family and after that went to Home Depot.  While I was at Home Depot the heel of my left foot started to get really sore.  I have never felt pain like that anywhere on my foot before.  By the time I got to my car I couldn't stand on my left foot at all.  I went home and put ice on foot because the arch of my foot was swollen and my heel was extremely sore.
My son was so cute, he rushed to my side and asked me if I was okay.  I really didn't feel like I was okay, but I had to show him that I would be okay and that there was nothing to worry about.  So I told him thank you for asking and that I was fine.  I was so touched when he said that he would sit by me because he wanted to make sure I was okay.  I felt very blessed to have him as my son.

Well, as it turned out after seeing different doctors, they all confirmed that I had Plantar Faciitis (an inflammation of the ligament on the bottom of your foot).  OUCH! That is all I can say. I had to stay off of my foot as much as possible and I had to elevate and ice my foot the first week.  Then it started to feel better, so I started to walk on it more.  Not good, the pain came back.  But I iced it right away and rested completely.

So for any of you who do not want to ever feel this pain, please take care of your feet.  I know it sounds funny, but it is true for everything.  We need to take care of our bodies! If we show our kids that we know how to properly take care of our bodies, then they will hopefully acquire the same thinking and a better lifestyle.  We are role models for our children!
